Italki is the world's leading online platform for language learning. It connects students like you with native speakers and certified teachers for personalized, 1-on-1 online lessons. You can easily find a tutor who fits your learning style and preferences using their filters.
If you don't have a regular speaking partner, Italki is an excellent place to find one. We recommend starting speaking practice around 3-6 months into your learning journey, or whenever you feel ready. Just once a week is plenty; continue focusing on your extensive listening and reading.

Based on my strong belief in acquiring language through comprehensible input (as we discuss in the "Get Started" section), I recommend using Italki primarily for conversation practice and guidance, not traditional "teaching."
You're in Control: You are paying for the lesson, so you decide the agenda! Don't hesitate to tell your tutor exactly what you want to do. Whether it's asking you questions, discussing a news article, or simply chatting about your day, your lesson should serve your goals.
Practice, Don't Be Taught: Focus on active speaking, getting feedback, and asking questions about anything you don't understand. Your tutor is there to support your unique acquisition journey.
